Pippa has recently qualified as a Nurse Practitioner at Medplus, having completed her Masters in Nursing, and furthering her extensive career in this field.

Pippa has been working as a nurse for the last 18 years, the last 12 years of them at Medplus.  Pippa will be familiar to many of you as she is one of the original nurses from when Medplus opened.

Pippa has had a diverse nursing career; she started as an emergency nurse in NZ and then worked in ED/ICU in Australia.  She also worked in the outback of Australia caring for families.

Pippa was a child health co-ordinator and was also involved in a Bronchiectasis research trial for children.

She returned to NZ and worked as a community nurse for Starship hospital before she took on the role at Medplus in 2011.

Pippa enjoys every aspect of general practice and primary care. She is passionate about the education of patients and fellow nursing staff.   Pippa has a special interest in paediatric medicine, women's health, family planning, sexual health, and chronic disease. She loves working alongside her patients to help them meet their health goals.

Pippa offers valuable health advice via our Same Day Phone Triage service.  She sees patients in the clinic on Thursdays and Fridays.

Pippa grew up in South Africa but thinks of herself as a Kiwi. She lives on the sunny Hibiscus Coast and is a mum to Stella.    In her spare time she enjoys catching up with friends, spending time at the beach, going for walks, camping, cooking (loves Asian cuisine) and hanging out with her daughter.
